Science Week 2026 Goes Off with a Bang!
This year’s Science Week launched with an electrifying whole-school assembly that quite literally went off with a bang. With the help of our Science Ambassadors, students were treated to a high-energy showcase of explosive demonstrations, curious questions, and the kind of awe that reminds us why science is such a powerful force for imagination.
The hall buzzed as we kicked off with the whoosh bottle demonstration that filled the room with a flash of flame and a thunderous whoosh. It was the perfect hook to get everyone leaning forward in their seats, wondering what could possibly come next.
The excitement didn’t stop there. Students witnessed our bottle rocket launches, powered by nothing more than air pressure and a healthy dose of scientific curiosity.
The assembly set the tone for a week packed with hands-on investigations, problem solving challenges, and opportunities for students to see themselves as scientists. If the energy in the hall was anything to go by, Science Week 2026 is shaping up to be our most inspiring yet.
