Teamwork, Science, and Archery: Year 9’s Enriched Day at Wycombe Abbey

On Monday 22nd June, Year 9 students attended the Wycombe Abbey Summer School, where they enjoyed a wide range of engaging and enriching activities. Throughout the day, students participated in orienteering, archery rampage, science, critical thinking, tennis, cricket, drama and mathematics workshops.

These activities provided valuable opportunities to develop analytical thinking, leadership, resilience, teamwork and communication skills. Students also took part in a peer mentoring session, where they gained insight and advice from experienced student mentors whilst discussing their future aspirations.

The visit allowed students to benefit from Wycombe Abbey's outstanding facilities while experiencing new challenges and activities in a supportive environment. Wycombe Abbey staff and student mentors were exceptionally welcoming, helping to make this summer school both enjoyable and memorable for all involved.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our Co-operative Learning Trustee, Wycombe Abbey School for this enriching opportunity.
