Pupils excited to join Cressex following Summer School
Cressex Community School held its annual Summer School on 24th and 25th August 2022 to support the transition of Year 6 students into Year 7. This opportunity is offered to all students who will be joining the school.
Staff and student ambassadors delivered a blend of academic and enrichment activities. This included workshops in Art, Citizenship, Gardening, Literacy, Maths and Physical Activities.
The two highly successful two days allowed students to-
- Build relationships with fellow pupils
- Familiarise themselves with their new school environment
- Get to know teachers and support staff
- Show off their talents in at least one area due to the range of activities on offer
- Develop new skills and have fun
Students commented on how their confidence had grown over the two days and they felt excited about joining Cressex Community School in September.
A big congratulations to all those who took part, and we look forward to welcoming the new Year 7s in September.
